Help Us Understand & Protect Local Fox Populations

Your field observations contribute to a growing body of citizen science data. Every sighting matters.

About the Project

1

Observer Privacy

All observations are encrypted end-to-end to protect the identity and safety of our volunteers in the field.

2

Pack Tracking

Use shared tracking codes to link related observations. Multiple volunteers can independently document the same group.

3

Data Integrity

Observations are timestamped and sealed cryptographically. Records cannot be altered after submission.

How It Works

1

Observe

Note the species, behavior, habitat, and any distinguishing characteristics.

2

Record

Fill in the secure observation form. Attach photos or recordings if available.

3

Link

Use a pack tracking code to connect your observation with others monitoring the same group.

4

Submit

Your observation is encrypted and stored securely. Only authorized researchers can access it.

Technical note: Observations are encrypted with RSA-OAEP 4096-bit + AES-256-GCM hybrid encryption in your browser using the Web Crypto API. The server stores only encrypted blobs it cannot read. Pack tracking codes are SHA-256 hashes computed locally — the original phrase never leaves your device. No accounts. No cookies. No tracking.

Log an Observation

All fields are encrypted before leaving your device. We cannot read your submissions.

Share a tracking phrase with other observers to link related sightings. The phrase is hashed locally and never sent to the server.

All data is encrypted in your browser before submission. The server cannot read your observation.

Check Pack Status

Enter a pack tracking phrase to see how many observations have been recorded.
